Recipe for Colloidal Silver Solution
Thank You to My Friend Mary Ann, Who has Used this Recipe for about 10 Years
Homemade colloidal silver is easy to make. The materials are very easy to find and you can literally make gallons for dollars.
Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver consists of minute silver particles suspended in a solution of liquid or cream. Never use plated silver or sterling silver for this. Some people use silver bullion.
WARNING: The NIH website specifically says that “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned that colloidal silver isn’t safe or effective for treating any disease or condition.” They continue by saying, “Colloidal silver can cause serious side effects. The most common is argyria, a build-up of silver in the body’s tissues causing a bluish-gray discoloration of the skin, which is usually permanent. Colloidal silver can cause poor absorption of some drugs, such as certain antibiotics and thyroxine (used to treat thyroid deficiency). There is also some evidence that it can cause kidney, liver, or nervous system problems.”
Always ask your doctor if colloidal silver can help you.
Colloidal Silver Uses
The same NIH website says, “Colloidal silver was used to treat infections and wounds before antibiotics became available. There is no clinical evidence supporting the use of colloidal silver to prevent or treat COVID-19. Furthermore, no alternative remedies or dietary supplements have been shown to prevent or cure COVID-19.”
The Colloidal Silver Setup
This is the complete setup, which is a chemistry marvel to me:
Before we get to the recipe, let’s look at the alternative: purchasing it.
An Alternative
Purchase colloidal silver by the gallon. Not my choice, because it’s too bulky. I would rather make it fresh, have small amounts, and be in charge of my own production. Once you purchase the silver wire, 12-14 gauge, you can use it almost indefinitely. Admittedly, when you make it homemade, you don’t know the purity, concentration, or particle size, as you do when purchasing it.
When making this on your own, use the “best” water without metal ions or debris, and the “best silver”. Some silver wire comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Make a Colloidal Silver Generator
Power source. The generator uses a power source that is easily made at home by some. There are 3 batteries, each 9 Volts, black electric tape, and two alligator clips, creating a 27 Volt-generator.
Add this to the two silver wires, a bottle of distilled water, and you have a generator!
The Premise
When electricity runs in between the two silver pieces, silver particles are shed. They become suspended in water.
For this recipe, it is important to keep the two silver rods away from one another. To do this, Mary Ann’s husband created a piece of wood and simply drilled two holes that are about two inches apart.
The final setup makes it impossible for both wires to touch one another.
And the time for processing varies.
Avoid longer processing times. Avoid larger silver particles, because they may increase the risk of argyria, skin discoloration.
Ingredients and Supplies
2 tiny pinches sea salt
Distilled water to fill a 1 pint jar
2 Silver rods, 0.999 purity
Electrodes
Wood rack
1 pint glass jar with lid (dark glass preferred, or store in a dark cabinet)
Paper towel
Add salt to distilled water.
Attach one electrode to each silver wire, one gets the red (positive charge) one, and the other gets the black (negative charge) one.
Attach the wires onto wood rack.
Place the wire/rack combo into the water.
Plug in the electrodes.
Watch the silver being formulated!
The first time you make this recipe, it may take a couple hours to see silver particles saturate the water. A lot of this depends on how much water is in your container. The water may initially turn a bit yellow. Once you know the concentration you like, use the same size bottle and set your alarm; then you will know when it is finished.
Some people process for 30 minutes; others use one hour.
Afterward, dry both rods with a paper towel.
Keep in a cool, dark place. Do not refrigerate it.
Occasionally stir your solution with a wooden spoon.
This is to credit my friend Mary Ann for giving me the recipe. She credits Roy Lee.
Have you tried this recipe, or used colloidal silver before?
Well said
Thank you for this. Much appreciated
